Our Food

Nutritious Meals for Healthy Growth

At Sunshine Early Education, we believe that healthy eating is the foundation of children's growth, wellbeing, and learning. Nutritious meals provide the energy children need to play, explore, concentrate, and develop, which is why we are committed to offering wholesome, balanced meals every day.

Our fully equipped commercial kitchen allows our experienced cook to prepare fresh, delicious meals on-site each day using quality ingredients. Every meal is thoughtfully planned to support children's nutritional needs while introducing them to a wide variety of flavours, textures, and culturally diverse foods in a positive and enjoyable way.
Our Rituals
At Sunshine Early Education, our rituals are the meaningful moments and experiences that bring our community together and create a strong sense of belonging, connection and wellbeing.Through our daily and weekly rituals, children are given opportunities to connect with themselves, others, nature and their community.
We encourage children to develop body awareness, calmness, concentration and emotional wellbeing through age-appropriate yoga, breathing and mindfulness experiences.
Mealtimes are opportunities to connect, share conversations, develop independence and experience the joy of food together. Children are encouraged to participate in preparing, serving and enjoying nutritious meals.
We provide open-ended materials that allow children to imagine, create, construct, experiment and problem-solve in their own unique ways.
Gentle baby massage experiences support nurturing relationships, relaxation, body awareness and connection between babies and their educators.
Cooking experiences encourage children to explore food, culture, mathematics, science, language and independence while enjoying the experience of creating something together.
Our nature-based experiences encourage children to explore the outdoors, develop confidence and resilience, take appropriate risks, connect with nature and develop a deep respect for the environment.
Through our community pantry, we encourage kindness, generosity and community connection while helping children understand the importance of sharing, caring and supporting others.
We celebrate acts of kindness and encourage children to show empathy, care and respect towards their friends, educators, families and community.
Our Yarning Circle provides a respectful space for children to listen, share, connect and learn from one another. It supports communication, belonging, cultural awareness and respectful relationships.
We create a calm, peaceful and comforting environment where children can rest and recharge. We respect each child's individual sleep and rest needs, routines and cues, providing a consistent and nurturing experience that supports their health, wellbeing and development. Quiet music, stories, gentle interactions and calming experiences may help children transition into rest time.
At Sunshine Early Education, we believe that the rituals we share today become the memories children carry with them tomorrow.
